Diabetics at Jamba Juice:

Eating good food at the right time can control your blood sugar, also stop you from craving wrong sort of food. Jamba Juice offers drinks in three separate sizes: 16, 24, and 32-ounce. You can choose the lowest serving size and cut down on sugars and calorie intake. If you're diabetic and concerned about the sugar intake, then you can opt for the smaller 9.5-ounce smoothies available for kids at Jamba Juice.

Foods to Avoid at Jamba Juice for Diabetics:

Jamba Juice is primarily known for its highly satisfying and nutritive smoothies and juices. Almost every smoothie and juice item on the Jamba Juice menu contains sugar. Diabetics are recommended to opt for smaller serving size while ordering at Jamba Juice. Also, avoid opting for creamy treats as all the smoothies offered in this category contain a load of sugars.

Keep the sugar content below 50g per meal at Jamba Juice and ensure that you don't follow it with a heavy meal. A small size regular smoothie is equivalent to a meal for everyone. Classic smoothies at Jamba Juice are also heavily loaded with sugars. Stay away from that section if you are a diabetic.

High Blood Pressure at Jamba Juice

Vegetables and fruits combo is considered the best food to lower blood pressure. Not bad... But I'd rather get a slush at Kung Fu Tea.

Very bad customer service. Slow and unresponsive. You could walk in and stand there for 2 minutes without any one even bothering asking you if you need service. They even show attitude some time. So, if you don't have any choice, you can just go to this location but don't expect a lot.

    (2)
  • Dauntless ..

Customer service is good. Very friendly and drinks are tasty compare to other locations I been before. Minor detail: I love ordering my drinks online a night before to pick up my drink the next morning, then I find out some of the members of Jamba Juice don't know they offer that service. I had to wait for my drink to be made when I got to the store. Thank goodness I wasn't in a hurry, so I had the time to wait for my drink.

  • Heysoos R.

Yikes. It feels like everyone that works here is having a serious case of the "Mondays". 20 minutes and not a drink in site. Yet, all the workers run in around (5) look confused and sweaty like it's their first day slangin smoothies. better luck next time, maybe? Mind you we ordered 2 kid size smoothies. (The same kind) I clearly had a lot of free time to even write this review in the store. With two kids in tow. Lol

    (2)
  • Loren S.

I honestly don't think the workers here could move any slower. Girl at the register was in slo motion, manager ignored her and only decided to help when there were already over ten people lined up. Wonderful start to the day.

I will keep this as short and sweet as possible: Pros: *located in downtown San Mateo *24 minute parking available in front which makes it easier to stop in Cons: *slow service seemingly due to an issue with work efficiency in the back on their drink line *prices, value & quality have gone down considerably over the years for me with Jamba Juice (JJ) overall. Drinks keep getting more expensive while service & quality are spotty at best. I remember the days when I could walk into a JJ and walk out thrilled with the product I had just purchased. Now I'm just hoping that whatever employee is working the drink line knows what they are doing. *waited almost 20 minutes for a smoothie today when there could not have been more than 6 guests waiting in pick up and order lines. Lack of staffing seemed to be an issue as the cashier post was left unattended at times due to the wait for drinks to be made. Overall...I very well may have to find myself another smoothie spot after many years of loyalty to JJ. *sad face*

Opinion is strictly to this location, not Jamba Juice overall. Among different locations this one consistently has better services and qualities. Looks like well trained and well managed crew work here.

    (4)
  • K T.

Jamba always has good smoothies so the review is purely on the service. The crew here doesn't look like they know what to do. There are 3 guys in the back with 4 customers waiting on drinks, and for the past 10 minutes I can see no one making any drinks. I see the supervisor telling someone what to do but nothing to do with making drinks. Lol. And now the person who ordered after me got their drinks before me. Wth???

Okay so I work at a Jamba Juice as well but everytime I go to this location from the shift lead to the regular employees they act like they don't speak any English and they don't understand what the hell I'm saying!!!!! I ordered a 24 ounce chunky strawberry bowl which takes a whole banana hello I work there, I told you that and you wanna give me 4 slices of a banana and tell me that's a whole banana???? You charge me full price for the bowl and this is like the 4th time you've done it!!!! If you're going to work there do your job don't half ass people that are paying top dollar for Jamba!! So angry wish I could give a worse rating on here!!

    (1)
  • Marissa D.

The customer service here sucks! First of all, they don't like to give you the receipt with the free drink survey attached to it for some reason. Second, my personal experience with them ticked me off because it's definitely loud in there and I couldn't hear them call out my drink. So when I finally realized my drink was there I went to go grab it and say thank you, but the girl was like "I called that a loooooooong time ago" with attitude. Like seriously I don't care if you did, I had no problem with it. Why give attitude like that to a customer? Learn customer service skills please and thank you.

    (2)
  • Naomi I.

In general, I'm a Jamba fan and go to lots of other locations and have never had as many bad experiences as I have had at this location. I am only writing this because I love the product and feel a loyalty to the company because I worked at Jamba for two years during college. I don't know how they are going to last at this location with the atrocious attitudes of the employees and especially manager who has been there and kind of leading this negative attitude (I have examples, but won't bore you with the details) on multiple occasions. My patience for the consistently sub par and borderline rude customer service at this location is making me rethink my loyalties. For the price you pay for a smoothie it would be nice if they could hire people who actually want to be there. Just my two cents and I am putting this out there in hopes that it turns around at some point.

  • Dana F.

Such a shame that this Jamba location has gone downhill. The staff is completely incompetent, slow, inattentive, and rude. I don't know how they stay in business. Starbucks and Noah's next door offer smoothies, and I hope people vote with their feet!

  • Christina L.

Berry Upbeet, basically a berry smoothie with beat juice, was pretty good. Even though I don't care much for beats (and would never eat them unless in liquid form), the beat juice flavor didn't overwhelm the berry goodness, so it was all good. Here's the kicker though, while my friend and I were waiting for our orders, she noticed one of the smoothie preparers or whatever they're called picking his ear for 30 seconds. I missed it because I was absorbed in my phone, but she insisted he was digging away for 30 seconds. In the end, she decided not to complain because the dirty picking finger never actually contaminated the inside of the blender of juice and stuff. Nonetheless, it was disconcerting enough that I decided to give fair warning in my review.

  • Love Food And Wine W.

Went to Jamba Juice today. Their customer service skills seems to have improved. The only questionable things in my mind was are they truly cleaning the containers when they make the juice? Are they washing hands when appropriate while preparing your juice and handling the cups, lids, straws? The reason I question this is because the guy who prepared my juice had dirty fingernails. You could literally see the dirt on the ridges of his nails. I do think the appearance of your fingernails matter when working in the food, juice restaurant chain business. He was nice but please keep the nails clean when preparing juice for customers.

After a year of avoiding this place, I dared to go back and I was pleasantly surprised! The grump old white lady who used to manage the place is gone and they've got a new staff of workers who are super friendly and say "good morning" and "we'll be right with you" and "TIP TIP HOORAY!" In other words, this Jamba Juice location is now in alignment with other locations with the right people working there and the right attitude. YAY!

  • Roger T.

Stood at the counter for a few minutes and it seemed no one was there, so I left. No semi-healthy snack for me, so two stars for you. I like Jamba Juice so this review is on the specific location, not Jamba as a company. I've been here before and I remember they take a little more time than I'm used to. That is all. Boooooo. Tip To Owner (Yelp - Give me credit if you copy this idea please, thank you...haha) My Tip To Owner is make sure the staff knows to be on the floor at all times, OR get a door chime for crying out loud...haha I hope this helps, God Bless. ~Da Critic

I love Jamba Juice but man it is hard to find a good one sometimes. This one is always so slow! The customer service... Eehh how much can I expect from 16 year olds who look like they hate their jobs. I feel like Jamba Juice used to have higher standards and now I'm just always disappointed..

  • Neema S.

This location is great if you are walking around. It's very clean and has huge glass front doors which let the sunshine in :) I ordered the classic pineapple smoothie, which I'd never tried before. *sidenote: I was expecting it to be yellow, but it was pink lol. My friend and I only had to wait about 3 minutes to get our smoothies. Both of our drinks were delicious, so we were satisfied with our purchases! I hadn't been to Jamba in a while-- I was reminded of the reason why; I'm not tryin to pay almost $6 for a small size smoothie! Because of it's pricey-ness Jamba Juice is just not my cup of tea!...or should I say smoothie? ;)

  • Lindy K.

Massively inconsistent in terms of quality control and ingredient portions. Makes the nutritional/calorie content info invalid. You never know from day to day what you will get. They need a new supervisor to train the employees. It didn't use to be this way.

I love Jamba Juice, but I hate this location. Parking is inconvenient. There is metered street parking on a super wide, busy street. This would be a horrible location to take children. The store is long with a rear entrance as well. The employees are not knowledgeable, lazy, unprofessional, and have poor customer service. When I arrived, there were no customers and several employees working. I ordered my usual smoothie. When I got it, I left the store and headed back to my car. As I was walking, I took a small sip and noticed it was under-blended with chunky bits in it. I turned around and went back to the store. I told them about it and asked them to fix it. No apology. They took my cup and poured the contents into a blender. They blended it and poured the contents back into the cup. I noticed that it was missing an inch off the top due to being poured into the blender again as well as poured into a new cup. I paid almost $7 for a smoothie and expect a full cup when I pay for one. I didn't say this, but instead asked them to get a spoon to get the rest of the missing smoothie out of the blender, hoping they would get the hint. He looks at me, showing me the blender remains, and says, "Are you sure you want the stuff in the blender? It's all melted and gross." Well, so was the smoothie by this point. All this time, I was hoping they'd come to their senses and make me a new one or at least make some more to put on top, but no. They proceed to pour the remaining melted liquid on top of the cup. By this point I'm so frustrated that I just take it, leave the store, and don't bother anymore. Avoid this location!

No one taking orders. Waited 10 minutes in line. Still no orders taken. I and 3 others left. Walked by 5 minutes later, same people still in line waiting to order. WTH?

  • Ellie W.

Slow to get drinks and asking for changes post order require 'authority'...what? Not sure if it is a Jamba Juice issue or this specific store. Either way, not coming back to Jamba after I use up my gift card and I will still probably look for other locations to use it up.

Came here during the 4th of July, the employee basically told me he is ready to go home and hope there were no more rushes. The employees were not very friendly. I saw someone working on my drink, once he put it in the blender walked away to the back and started texting on his phone and another employee had to finish up my drink.

  • Joan Q.

I've been to this location twice now. And both times were horrible. The first time i came to this location i witnessed an employee clean up a spill with some gloves on. But he continued to grab some fresh fruit with the same gloves he cleaned up the mess with! WTF! And he was making my drink! I obviously told them i didnt want it anymore. Second time..i ordered a 16 ounce acai primo. I started to eat it and noticed my bowl was a little shy of some granola. So i asked for extra granola and when i did...the guy gave me attitude! He then told me he had to charge me for extra granola. Ok i'm fine with that but the attude was unnecessary. Maybe if he put more granola on it in the first place i wouldnt have asked for more. No wonder this location only has 3 stars and is known for horrible customer service. I'll stick to the millbrae location where they have awesome customer service and dont charge me for extra granola.

Jamba Juice has recently rolled out fresh squeezed juices, including green juices. These juices are the real deal - you see them jusing fresh fruits and vegetables and uicing and blending right before your eyes to get this magical elixer. Of the drinks I have tried, great greens is my favorite one. I have tried tropical greens (too sweet), garden medley (beet and carrot taste was too strong for my liking), and orange reviver. I have at times walked home and added more greens and water to dilute the sweetness. I'm not complaining though - fresh wholesome juice without artificial flavors or sweeteners at a reasonable price is something to write home about!

I really like this location. It's right near my work and I love going here to grab something healthy. I recommend the kale shake it's awesome! I've turned my friends on to this! Over this past weekend I called in my jamba juice order like I typically do to save time, I started doing this because the sense of urgency inside the store totally lacks. When I called to place an order this time, someone took the phone away from the girl I was talking to and told me that they were too busy and that they were not taking phone orders and that if I wanted a drink then I had to go inside the store and order, before I could say anything I heard them hang up. I understand that it was hot that day and they may have been busy, but telling a regular customer to not call in a phone order is very unprofessional, why else do you have a phone? Like I said I really like this location but this place just lost my business.

Jamba Juice here is on the smaller side. ordering is near the front door. receiving is further in. time between ordering and receiving was just minutes. nice. drink: oramge dream machine original (5.2) -very sweet with lots of ice. sugared up? -reminiscent of orange-sicle. an early fav. -had it 10 years or so ago while jamba appeared.. -3.5 stars -drips smiling, fast service

They're currently in the process of remodeling, so it kind of has a weird smell, but the workers were very nice and I was able to get my drinks quickly. I'm sad they started charging for boosts, but what can you do? I'll update my review once they're done remodeling.

It was a beautiful Saturday in San Mateo and I wanted something refreshing to drink with my Japanese brunch. Naturally, Jamba Juice came to mind (wha??). My buddy and I dropped in to take advantage of the 2 for $5 deal they had going on. We both ordered the acai antioxidant smoothies since it sounded pretty good. Unfortunately they took forever and a day to receive because either the line was backed up, the were understaffed, or there simply wasn't much of a sense of urgency or something, but everybody had a long wait. Once we received them, they were a bit on the icy side and not that smooth at all. A little disappointing to say the least. It definitely took a lot longer to get our orders at this location and outdoor seating is shared with Starbucks next door. Dogs are welcome at those tables however, so spoil them with a walk as you spoil yourself with a smoothie. Just don't be in any kind of a hurry because it's going to take a while to make. Food: 7/10 Service: 5/10 Price: $ Atmosphere: 6/10

A few weeks ago my daughter was teething and thought a smoothie would feel good for her mouth. We were disappointed when we walked up and the doors were locked and the store was closed early for a staff meeting (and the staff inside makes those stupid looks like, "what did you think?") Bummer. Wee-wah.

I have been here two times and the service is always lackluster. Second time around, the cashier was extremely indifferent and didn't seem like she wanted to be there. Before giving me my drink they confused it with another order, and didn't give any explanations afterwards. The employees had very bad attitudes overall. I have always had great experiences at other Jamba Juice, but this was a terrible experience.

I get Jamba Juice every morning to help wake up and start my morning. Shop hours are posted here on yelp that they open there doors at 7 am. Just stopped by at 830 am and the doors are closed and lights are off. Thumbs down

Worst drink and service ever. When I go to Jamba i usually go to the San Carlos, Burlingame, or Foster City, so this was my 1st san mateo and last san mateo experience. 1. no line waited for about 10-15 minutes before some helped. 2. kid was rude. 3. the person who made my drink didn't have a top for the blender so he goes over to the sink and pulls one out of the soapy water, dips it into the sink next to it which i should mention looked soapy as well and tried to put it on top of my drink he was mixing. But i stopped him and said that is so unsanitary....Sorry but im not gonna get sick. 4. drink was watery and runny 5. forgot my proetin boost 6. gave me a new cup because he poured the drink in the previous cup and it was dripping all over until i asked for a new one. Sorry I'm done with this place. Never ever again!!!!!!!

I'm a regular at this Jamba. I've also recently signed up for their rewards program. Today I tried to redeem my $3 off reward. Pressed yes, but for some reason it didn't register with the cashier. She shrugged her shoulders and said "sorry, there's nothing I can do." Are you serious? There's absolutely something you can do. You can honor your customer and make it right. After politely asking her if she could honor my reward and being met by more empty apologies, I have up. What happened to basic common sense and good customer service?

    (1)

Jamba Juice is generally a great place to load up on a sugar smoothie. I've tried multiple Saturdays to make a quick stop here and it takes them over 20 minutes to make a smoothie. Sigh.

We have gone twice now and both times they closed early by more than 15 minutes. In the past we have always received great service and tasty smoothies, but we will not be going to this location again.

Why does the owner of this store always seem to employ overweight, lazy slackers? Yeah, I get that it's not a high-paying job...but I blame the owner for not caring enough to instill a sense of pride or work ethic in the employees here, who consistently talk amongst themselves when there are customers waiting in line, and don't seem to have any information about the products they are selling (unless it's the food they are trying to get rid of). News flash: there's another location less than 3 miles away...and that's where everyone's going now.

    (2)

Great when they are running their promotions, but otherwise, pricey juice. The fruity smell is overwhelming when walking into the store so I tend to limit the amount of time I am there.

Great location. Very understaffed lately--only 2 people working and the line is sometimes long and you could wait for 15 minutes for your smoothie after you've already waited in line to order. So slow.

jamba is getting okay now... when i went there they were remodeling. maybe it'll be better after?

Funny how all Jamba Juices smell the same. I walked into this one the other day and the moment I walked in reminded me of when I worked at Jamba Juice for a summer when I first got into college at Santa Barbara. Oh, the memories. Lame job but whatever. It took care of the beer fund. "What up, slut? Want a shot?" "FOR SURE! So what do you do?" "I'm a poli sci major and slang drinks downtown." "OH MY GOD! NO WAY! My girls and I LOOOOOVE college night! Where at? Tonic? Sandbar? Sharkeez?" "Nah, close though.... Jamba Juice." "Oh...ew... Thanks for the drinks. Smell ya later.... loser!" Yeah, pretty much.

I watched 3 people who came after me get their orders first.....am annoyed that I waited so long for a smoothie....won't be coming back. Lazy and indifferent employees=awful service and a smoothie that I won't be ordering from this location again--I'll try the Laurelwood location instead.

Stellar customer service from Eric. I messed up my order and he (and his team coworker) fixed it away with zero hassles. SO APPRECIATED! It's really the little things. =) A+ Jamba locale

This is the worst Jamba Juice! I love jamba! Go at least once a week usually to the redwood shores location. I came here one Saturday on my way to the dog park and ordered myself and my bf a smoothie after waiting in line for 15 mins (no exaggeration) I then waited another 15 mins for my drinks. When I got mine the recipe was not right. I get the same one everytime and when I nicely said to the man I didn't think it was the right one he snapped at me and told me it was and I didn't know what I was saying. So I left then told me bf and he said to go get a new one and I did which was not any better. After we drove away my bf picked his up and took a drink and it was pure juice and ice chucks. Not blended at all!! Don't waste your money at this location and go to a different Jamba!

This is for the service and not for the drinks. Whoever worked during the Sunday afternoon shift have terrible customer service. There were 3 guys and were busy doing something else while I waited for someone to take the order and no apology for the wait. It was not even a busy Sunday evening. It was me and someone else that came after me. When the drink was ready, they don't even call you out and just placed the drink as if I have to make eye contact and ask if that drink was mine.

  • Amy F.

Horrible service here! Came in the door just as the cashier was finishing up with another customer. I come up to order and she heads to the back without saying a word! I waited at least 10 minutes while the employees were either make the juices or walking in and out of the store. Waited another 10 minutes for my actual drink. The employees were rude and I will not be returning to this location.

I don't know what it is up about this location, but they just aren't on their game. There is usually a line and it takes a while for someone to take your order. But perhaps they will eventually get things in order?

Have people noticed that Jamba carries more and more things recently? I remember when they didn't have any food and now there are snacks galore. I've not seen the Indian Summer Peach ever make it back but I guess the normal one will do. Great for the hot days, with this branch being super quick

Is this place really healthy? I'm not that sure because the smoothies I get are always super sweet. Maybe it's because I'm getting flavors like white gummy bear and pink starburst. Anyways, the employees know the secret menu just in case you don't. My actual favorite is banana berry and it's awesome! But yeah, smoothies consist of juice and fruit, so yeah... it's better than a frappucino across the way.

I dont know why Jamba Juice is so popular. Its so bland and expensive. Its pretty much tasteless! Nowadays, we buy our own fruit and yogurt and make our own delicious smoothies at home!

Since moving to California, my kid has had a fascination with the Strawberry Wild drink at Jamba Juice. We had some time to kill between visiting the Pez Museum and going to meet family a couple weeks ago, so we stopped for a drink. I placed our order and the employee asked if we had a coupon. I told him no, and he grabbed one next to the register. It knocked off the cost of one of our two drinks and was very nice of him. I thanked him. I reached into my wallet and pulled out a $20 to pay for the just under $5 order, and he sighed, rolled his eyes at me and then said, rather stiffly, "I just gave you a great discount, and you can't give me a smaller bill?" I was annoyed by his rudeness, but I fished out a $5. As a note, while we were there my son had to go to the bathroom. It was gross and dirty. I know they're doing some tiling and touch up improvements all over the store, but all the materials were just stacked in the one restroom. There were also only two tables inside at this location. I think their main goal is to get you out the door. The drinks were fine, but the service and state of the place was not good.

Came here twice and was twice disappointed. I expected a cool, blended & fruity smoothie but instead got a watery, flavorless drink. I tried the strawberry surf rider and the 5 fruit frenzy and each with different ingredients, it was still made poorly. It did not satisfy my taste buds at all and did not have a consistency of a regular smoothie. I'll have to try another store to get my smoothie fix!

Love Jamba Juice in its entirety. I usually get the same thing evreytime I go there, choosing one of these items: parfait, (yogurt), and or smoothies. Service: Descent, and normal, nothing too extreme. On a typical school day afternoon it is so crowded. But on weekends and night time, it's generally empty. Parfait: Is pretty good, I love getting the berry flavor. The parfrait is basically a smoothie topped with oats and fresh slices of banana.... mmmm... :) I'm getting hungry. The only downer is that they have it in a 12 oz cup. It's a little disappointing they don't make it bigger. Yogurt: Tried it once, and only one. I didn't care for it. :P Honestly, if you're looking for soft serve yogurt, go to the Yogurtouille down the street. :) Smoothies!!! Love the smoothies, I love the fresh and fruit flavors of Carribean passion, and razzmatazz. Classical and humble flavors. Take your taste buds on a ride.

Thank God for this location! All you find around downtown San Mateo are coffee shops and eateries. What if you just want to drink a refreshing Banana Berry Smoothie, or something else that won't give you crash 30 minutes after you drink it? This location is in between the Starbucks and Blockbuster stores. Check it out. 5 Stars for being awesome.

Awful location. The interior looks dingy and the people taking orders barely know how to operate the ordering system.

I love Jamba Juice. Seems like they have something for everyone on their menu. I even enjoy their baked goods and really like their oatmeal. H O W E V E R......... Don't bother with the coffee. Jamba should stick to what they know best and that's Juice... Definitely NOT coffee. Even though there is a Starbucks 2 doors down from this Jamba I decided not to go there (Sbux is never my first choice anyway) and give the coffee here a try instead. First of all, I'm sort of a coffee diva. I DO NOT like that they add the sugar and cream for you. I'm very particular with my coffee. Even when I prepare it myself I may need to give it a few sips to make sure it's just right. Well this morning my coffee was actually a cup of half and half with a spoonful of watered down coffee. I had to dump half of it out once I got to work and ended up using our machine to make a shot of espresso to add to this cup of creamer. I was highly disappointed. I should have known better. I mean if the big kahuna of coffee chains (SBUX) doesn't do it for me why in the hell did I think Jamba Juice would? Shock value maybe? I was hoping to be blown away by a cup of joe from a juice giant. Oh well... Now I know and I can pass along my opinion.

I love Jamba Juice in general, but this branch is just awful. I was helped by a girl who looked like she'd couldn't care less. She got my order wrong and when I brought it to her attention, she didn't even apologize. She proceeded to blame someone else for the mistake, when she was the one who put together my order. Totally lacadaisical staff - you can just tell as you enter - the place was unkempt...dirty floors, empty water bottle on a table, used napkins here and there. Not a customer in sight, yet the staff can't be bothered to clean up.

I love Jamba Juice. I always think its healthy when I drink it, but I know there are tons of sugar..lol. The service at this location is great. The servers are super friendly. I also notice that they try to entertain you when they make your drink. =) I've been a satisified customer every time I visit this Jamba Juice.

Since most Jamba Juice's are pretty much the same on taste and price across the board, this is based on service. I come in here on Saturday mornings for a post run snack. The people are always really friendly, and quick to get your smoothie made and out the door.

Not very friendly workers; she didn't even have a smile on her face! She didn't say thank you, never told me how much change I would be receiving, nothing! The smoothies are on point though!

Time after time I keep returning to Jamba Juice to wait in their long lines, and drink their soapy smoothies. I recall an employee from about a year ago - an angry stressed out boy that was rude to some customers and own coworkers, but would barely rinse/wash the blenders. Come present day, I didn't notice this soapy water in the blender, but I tasted it in my smoothie! I told them, and they were nice to remake it but only for it to have the same soapy after taste - bleh! I put my foot down and say no more!

Up until a year ago I never had Jamba Juice, I'm a coffee person. So when friends would go to Jamba Juice, I would go to the Starbucks that was usually next door. When I first tried Jamba Juice, I realized that I had been missing out. This store has a positive vibe. The staff is friendly, greeting everybody that walks through the door and if you have been here enough, most of them take the time to remember your name and favorite drink. The store also closes at 8pm which is convenient if you want to have Jamba Juice late in the day, after work or for dinner. The ingredients taste fresh and there is very little wait time if they are not busy. New addition to the store was the calories of each food item placed on the menu board. Glad to know, though long overdue. Bad parking in the back, and crowded on the street in front. Not the store's fault, but good to know.

Favorite jamba. Parking can difficult b/c it's right in the heart of downtown SM. Convenient if you need to make other stops nearby... Blockbuster, Rubios, Starbucks, Noahs bagels.....

Cant really judge the store by price... but by service. The people working there are very energetic and upbeat.

This place is literally the best Jamba Juice in the Peninsula. They actually make the smoothies correctly and don't skimp on boosts or protein (especially the whey protein). I go out of my way to come to this store.

Great place to go and get some delicious treat !! also they have fresh carrots, orange and weathgrass juice. Is a little crowded on summer or around 3 pm when students hit the place. Crew are always friendly and ready to help with suggestions.

Its jamba juice, unless they screw up by not blending your drink all the way then you know exactly what to expect. They properly blended my drink every time i've come and i've always been happy with this location.

I don't like being in Jamba Juices because they are noisy... I hope they wear earplugs... But my experiences here in terms of service, smoothies, and OATMEAL have been good. I used to not be a fan of oatmeal - didn't like the texture - until Jamba Juice! Brown sugar crumble is the bomb. :) And there have been occasions where I go in with a friend but we didn't want a full drink to ourselves or the whole oatmeal -- they've been nice enough to split it for us, and it even seemed there was a little MORE than half in each of our oatmeal bowls. I'm a fan.

This jamba juice is really friendly. And I was actually surprised at the quality of their wraps. I know, not everyone is into getting food that's been vacuum packed somewhere and shipped off, but if you're under a time crunch it's definitely worth considering. I had their Asian chicken wrap, and the lemony dressing isn't so bad. Also, the entire wrap itself is about 500 calories or less. I was OK after eating half of it because I had also gotten their largest smoothie. I might be a little biased though, my last meal on earth would preferably be a smoothie.

  • JAYCE B.

Eric is correct. Jamba Juice really is all that good for you. It is loaded with sugar and packs just as many calories as a full meal. But great after a couple pulled wisdom teeth.

Is it wrong to be bribed by free oatmeal samples? I think not. I love this location...street parking is usually easy, the loo's clean, and there are multiple seating options. Rarely encounter a line, staff are fast/friendly, and they usually offer (unprompted) a sample of their oatmeal with extra berries and brown sugar. Yum!!

  • Stan H.

I don't like this location too much. There is a correlation between customer traffic flow and favorable comments. This Jamba is too much like Starbucks and the chains in their stale one-size fits all management. There are too many snobby teens who think they know better and the service is not that good. It takes longer than normal for carrot orange juice and smoothies alike. The location doesn't have many tables (two in fact) and 4th Avenue is not friendly towards sitters. The least favorite of the Jambas I've visited. But not enough to warrant the lowest rating.

  • Bryce K.

it's easy to give this place four stars when you have a two-for-one coupon. great tasting smoothies, great price (with the coupon), and friendly service. i can see why this place is so popular. i do have to say that until i got this 'bananaberry original', the last time i was in here was a few months ago.

HORRIBLE! This location always disappoints me and my co-workers. The staff lacks customer service, it's as if you're bothering them everytime you order.

I think this is my favorite Jamba Juice. The kids working here are always nice and chatty. I don't think I've ever gone to this location when there hasn't been another customer inside. It seems to attract nearby high school kids from Aragon and San Mateo, and lots of after school sports kids from CSU.

cant complain. they make good smoothies that arent chunky (like the jamba juice in berkeley) and the people here are nice. orange dream machine! thanks elle for introducing me to this one. otherwise, i've tried the mango a go go, orange berry blitz, or bright eyed blueberry and they are all good.

love this jamba juice and enjoy visiting daily! everyone who works here is very friendly and attentive. i've found them the best at mixing the drinks too so they're not all ice and chunky after the first couple sips.

it's jamba juice. what do you expect? if you're looking for a sugar rush disguised as a health food, then this is the place for you. the staff at this store are friendly enough and do a decent job of making smoothies, but sometimes they tend to be a bit slow at it.
